Whatever happened to Landstalker PSP?

When Climax confirmed it was working on a PSP remake of the Megadrive classic Landstalker it gave me a strong reason to purchase Sony's handheld, but two years on and nothing else has been seen or heard about this game. I believe it was due out in 2007 but that obviously hasn't happened.

I'd imagine it's still getting a release as Climax's site still has a Landstalker themed main page. Landstalkers in my top 5 Megadrive games of all time, absolutely loved that game.

I too loved Landstalker back in the day. This might tempt me to rebuy a PSP.

Climax's page has been like that for ages, and the Landstalker PSP micro-site they had is now down. It's not looking good, to be honest.

Well no news is good news I suppose, until it confirmed as cancelled I'll still assume it's getting a release eventually, wasn't a wiiware version rumored for this as well?

Only thing I can find is someone who says he wrote into EGM at the start of this year asking if it got canned and they told him it's still in development, apparently they printed his letter, can't always believe what you read on the internet though.
