It's a misprice. Steel Battalion (plus controller) must be the most expensive Xbox game.

Are we talking retail price or collector value? because theres some tank/mecha game (no, not steel batallion) that I remember someone on ng.com paying around $300 for as its really quite hard to find. Began with 'wolf' or had that in the title.

Metal Wolf Chaos going for +$250 sealed was an exception I think. It should be av in Japan for around 5000-6000 yen used so a mint Steel Batallion is probably worth more.
