I'm wondering if this demo was released a week early by mistake as the splash loading screen says it's out on the PSN now.

Downloaded this today. It was not there yesterday (Thursday Australia) What day does PSN update? I thought it was Thursdays, but are we aussies locked to waiting a day for UK update?

Should be Thursday, they're under the SCEE monkey banner same as all PAL territories I believe. Watching the GAF store threads I'm sure Aus is pretty much the first up.

Oh OK, well i was on about 11pm yesterday (Thursday night) and this was not up. There was only a trailer and i know this for fact as i downloaded it. But Stardust Portable was up. Strange.

Anyone know why the demo saves? I found that really strange that it has its own save file. Also i unlocked a police colour for the car. I am just wondering if the save file will transfer over to the full game.

Anyway played this for about 2 hours straight trying to beat the best laps. Great graphics, very smooth framerate and amazingly fun gameplay. I cannot wait until next week. Online should be a blast. I just wish there was a higher difficulty level in the demo.

But man what a game. Instantly playable and a great laugh.

I imagine that buying it will lead to a very small DL that unlocks the remainder of the game from the demo. That way all items and times can carry over.

Looking forward to this on Thursday, even gone and got myself a Playstation Eye especially. Can't seem to find any mention of whether this will play like most online games on PSN or if it uses the god awful Konami ID one, anybody know.

Sorry John but it had to be asked, I bloody hope not though. I set one up for MGS Online and never used it since, recently tried getting online with PES 2009 though and it asked for the ID, couldn't remember it and couldn't be arsed finding out what it was either, although after hearing about the online problems in that game it's probably a blessing in disguise.

I enjoyed the demo, again another example of why 60fps is better than 30fps, it was so smooth Shame about the lack of AA, quite a surprise actually given the simple graphics.

Is this 4 player split screen by any chance??

The reviewer was being overly lyrical and some would say clever, but.. at least he was enthusiastic and actually talked about the whole 'experience' of the game; which is something EDGE always fail to convey, and usually sound like they don't ever enjoy visuals or actually playing for fun.

I've been very busy recently - but.. I will be downloading the demo tomorrow, and my hopes are very high.
