Does anybody know if this is getting an English language release? I have just noticed it on vgchartz, it has sold close to a million copies in Japan alone.

I certainly hope so. I even tried playing this in Japanese in desperation after finishing Curious Village, it has been out in the east for aaaages now. My most anticipated DS game, tbh.

Is the original even out in this country yet? My mate wanted a copy the other day and it wasn't out on the shelves in Game. Asking at the counter proved fruitless too; first of all they denied such a game even existed, then proclaimed we must have the name wrong, and then eventually after checking with their sagely colleague in the stock room came back and told us that it was going to be released for the Wii in this country. Uhh...

No skin off my teeth seeing as I refuse to buy PAL DS games anyway, but I really enjoyed the last game and it doesn't bode well if they can't even be bothered to bring it over here. From all the marketing that went into the US release I'd have thought it would've sold pretty decently there...

No, the original isn't out here yet. Totally weird. I'm also waiting for the sequel. It's been out in Japan a looooong time and I haven't heard a mention of an English release.

I'm pretty sure I read that the first PL was a big seller in the US, so I fail to see why the second wouldn't get a release sometime, at least. Unless there's an overload of Japanese language puzzles or something.

I started playing the Japanese one, and it would appear that the puzzles are the same sort of thing as from the last one. I just couldn't understand them. The intro sequence and front end are brilliant - was great having the Prof back up in this bitch - even if he was speaking Japanese.

Well on page 33 of the manual it talks about gaining access to a Top Secret area & you'll need a password which you can get from the sequel to this game. So fingers crossed, it's coming.
