VC Shooters - what's worth having?

After spending so much time on Star Soldier R, failing so badly on Axelay (need more time on that one), enjoying the semi-retro goodness of Space Invaders Extreme (on the DS and looking forward to the WiiWare one next week), and kicking butt/chewing bubblegum on Assault Suits Valken I'm really wondering which shooters on the VC are worth it.

So I put it to you, what do you think people should be getting?

RType Is quite good I heard!

Gate of Thunder as one of my faves. The VC has tons of great shooters like Soldier Blade, Axelay and of course good old R-Type!
