Good split-screen co-op games

I play through various c0-op games with my brother in law as he's not big on multiplayer.

PS3
Wii

co-op games we've played/completed:
Doom
bubble bobble
earth defence force 2017
Rock band


Also for an upcoming games night we'll have 2 xbox 360s (6-7 people) so anyone suggest some good system link games?

They're all offline and don't split up the screen, so they should be very enjoyable.

These are all good suggestions that I have enjoyed playing also in 2p splitscreen. RR7 isn't co-op but its a good splitscreen race, so is GT5P

Bionic Commando: Rearmed on the Xbox Live Arcade has up to four-player split screen and it's proper good. I suggest giving the demo a try, it's a pretty good one where you get to play the whole first level.

Kane and Lynch is split-screen co-op. I think it's alright, but I gather some people would rather eat ****.

The split-screen mode of that is even worse than the solo mode. You get annoying 'sanity effects' for Lynch, which basically amount to everything slowing down and going blurry. Not good.

Pretty sure Rainbow 6 2 on 360 is co-op

The Tom Clancy games, like Rainbow 6 Vegas and Advanced Warfighter are worth a look. Though I'm not actualy hundred percent sure that they are split screen co op, so you would have to check.

Also, when it comes out, Left for dead looks like it might be good too.

Yeah Vegas 2 is, and its awesome on co-op. Play the terrorist hunts.
