My launch machine lasted a good 18 months then I got red lines all over my screen followed by RROD. Got it fixed then the DVD drive died 5 months later, sent it off to be fixed and got a new machine and kept the old one as a spare when it came back.

The new machine lasted til last month before getting RROD so I got my old spare out which has done nothing but sit in a box for a year and that lasted just 2 days before I got RROD.

Got my new machine back from being fixed last week and my old machine came back yesterday. So yeah, not much luck on the 360 front :/

My Halo special edition 360 is giving me a red light in section 4. I think it's ****ed. Damn, I haven't even finished GoW2 yet.

I was amazed yesterday while chatting to a mate to find out he is on his first 360 still! 2 years old, bought off eBay!! He laughed about it being a matter of time

My mates Elite died in the week. He'd only had it a few months. It was his third 360 to die.

I'd be interested in a poll to see just how many of us have purchased multiple 360s due to these issues. With the official 360 sales having surpassed the original XBox, it would be good to get a real rough approximation of how many 360s are "spare console / replacement" sales.

Just had my 360 scratch my new copy of Gears 2. In the UK for the next few weeks before leaving the country again, so I only had a few weeks to play it. It was on a sturdy surface, was not knocked to any significant degree that I am aware off. At most was some walking by it.

Really pissed off with the unit. Really poor reliability. Shouldnt have to walk on egg shells to keep it from doing something stupid.
