Nope. Mine had the optical drive die on me after about 8 months. Sony sent me a refurb in < 48 hours which was nice though. THe packaging was ridiculously over the top, it came in a kind of polycarbonate crate; the sort of thing Jack Bauer finds empty moments after terrorists have removed a dozen cannisters of nerve gas from it!
Edit: 60 GIG, *almost* launch modelLast edited by Brad; 12-09-2008, 13:54.

Nope, ours gave up the ghost a couple of weeks back but it had been beaten to death by us since launch day.
It's almost constantly being used by somebody whether it's for games, music, films or just surfuing the internet while the PC is off. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets around 6 hours most days one way or another.
We phoned up on a Friday and they sent a courier with a nice shiny new one and a nice shiny new 12 month warranty. Not perfect as it would be better if it hadn't died but they dealt with it well and we somehow ended up with an even quieter model than the original one and there are times when you think it's gone off because it's just so quiet.

40gb model. Died after four months (just like my first 360).
Was watching a blu-ray and it suddenly couldn't read the disc. It wouldn't read any disc of any format after that.
Took it out to Sony's authorised repair center and they swapped it on the spot for a refurb which has, after a couple of months begun to churp like a Cricket (think its the hard drive).
