Theres a FPS Punisher game in the works and it's going to be a PSN exclusive developed by zen studios, never heard of them so not sure how this will turn out.

Says there's a single player mode too:

A: Yes, there is a single player story mode where players need to beat hordes of bad guys in different challenging game mode to unfold the original story and unlock all elements of the game.

Reading the interview on Gamespot it seems its more of a bot driven multiplayer mode with a story attached.

I think I might give Zen Studios the benefit of the doubt with this, if the single player is a bit of mindless shooter action like say Painkiller then it might be alright. It'd need to be under ?10 and a demo available first before I'd consider buying it though.

I would just love an updated graphical version of the old PC/PS2/Xbox game out a few years ago completely unedited (had to play a patched copy to play it unedited). That was simple but great fun and would work well as a cheaper downloadable game.

It'll be balls, even the best developers struggle make a decent FPS multiplayer game so there is no way a **** developer will make anything good.

Have to admit I'm struggling to see how this will turn out to be anything other than a disappointment and waste of time (and I'm a sucker for comic tie in's).

Arena based death-match? Yawn.

It'll no doubt sink like a stone and have no one playing it within a month or so. Now if you're going to bring a Punisher game to the download market...



...why not make it that one.

First in game footage, doesn't look any worse than most deathmatch fps out there, I'll reserve judgement until it's released though.
