PAL version of Namco Shooters - What is the slowdown like compared to NTSC??

Hi all.

Looking at getting some of the PS2 Namco Shooters etc like..

Time Crisis 2
Time Crisis 3
Crisis Zone
Vampire Nights

But I am finding it hard to get the US NTSC versions for cheap as people want silly shipping charges even just for the game ($20 PLUS!)

So, if I opt for the PAL version, is there a notable slowdown with the boarders on the PAL releases?

Or is it really worth paying the extra for the NTSC versions??

I don't know about the slowdown, but I've got a PAL Crisis Zone somewhere and I think it doesn't have a 60Hz mode, but it's been optimised in terms of borders.

Don't the TC games have 60Hz modes???

Anyway, whatever the case with Vampire Night, get it, it's ace.

Neither Time Crisis game has a 60hz mode.

The games do have borders but they are very small so some optimisation has taken place. The games never felt slower but I've never had the opportunity to have the US and PAL versions running simultaneously to compare.

I think really, It wont be a big deal, so I just bought a Pal VN and Guncon2 so looking for TC 2/3 now

Theres no difference that I can tell. I just have them in Japanese for collection purposes.
