I bought an 8800GT a couple of years ago and still use it now. It really is a top card today. I'm sure a Dual Core is more than enough, if you can stretch it go for a Quad. My PC has a Dual Core and runs fine.

Interesting tidbits starting to emerge from people who are getting to play it early.
- More planets to visit and each has a purpose and backstory, more like main quest levels.
- Combat feels more like Gears of War or Uncharted.
- Run out of ammo (i.e. heatsinks) for a particular gun, it auto-switches to one which you have ammo for.
- Playing as an infiltrator, sniper rifle ammo seemed limited.
- No control over squadmates' armor, they upgrade themselves as they level up.
- New weapons/upgrades are found as blueprints, need to be researched.
- Enemy kills DO grant you XP, but it only gets tallied up at the end of a mission, and you don't level up during a mission anymore. This was done "as to not distract the player during a mission".

I still don't buy it, that's 2 x DVD9 absolutely full to the brim, which is unlikely!
I can't wait, but I hope it's utter ****, just to see you in denial Jamie!
I've already heard enough from people who have played it to know it's awesome by the way, though it's not as much of an "RPG" as some might like and more of a 3rd person shooter by all accounts.

I had the collector's edition ordered, but cancelled that and reordered at Amazon. I'm really looking forward to this, but wanted the collector's for the Cerebrus card. Apparently it comes with both versions, so saving as much as I am I'm happy to lose out on a small bonus armor. Had GAME pre-order for £49.99 now with Amazon at £29.99.
I'm starting to find collector's editions are something I'm not very interested in.
I'm curious how involved the events of the first one really will impact this game. They've promised us a lot, so hopefully it turns out great.

Has anyone worked out what you get with the special and regular editions of this game regarding downloadable armour weapons.
Here is what I worked out so far...
Play pre-order - Terminus Armour.
Amazon pre-order - Inferno Suit.
Game Collectors Edition - XBOX - All the gubbins + Chintinous armour + Assault rifle
Game Collectors Edition - PC - All the gubbins + Chintinous armour + Assault rifle
EA Collectors Edition Download - PC - All the gubbins + Incisor Sniper Rifle? (I presume this the same as the Assault Rifle? + Chintinous Armour + it also mentions a downloadable soundtrack, that I presume will be in the hardcopy collector versions on disc?
I also noticed that on the US website, Gamestop have an exclusive "Blackstorm Weapon", which I didnt see in the UK...doh.
Oh yeah, there is also that Blood Armour from Dragon Age Origins lol....Last edited by SUMIRE; 11-01-2010, 18:54.

The only difference between Collector's and Regular for XBox I believe is this:
Special Edition:
Dark Horse Comic Issue #1 Edition
Hardcover Art Book
Bonus DVD (soundtrack)
Exclusive In-Game Armour
Cerberus Network Membership Card
Regular Edition Includes:
Cerebrus Network Membership Card
Plus some kind of armor that's included on the network card... (I think)

*snip*)for an unique armour and helmet type.
Although I can't say I'll miss travelling through space with "IT'S SO MISUNDERSTOOD!" emblazoned on my gear.

You could always grab yourself a copy on the cheap (I think it's something like ?8 now) and fly through it. It shouldn't take you too long.
The bad news is my version of Shepard looks like someone (thing?) Bethesda would design.
Any word on if you can rearrange your face at the start of this one?
