Your co-op choice for the remainder of '08?

Me and my gaming chums are pondering on which game, out of the usual slew of games that come out in the last quarter of the year, that we can play together.

I'm mainly thinking co-op, but multiplayer is OK as a secondary option.

There's a few obvious choices like CoD5 and GoW2, but are there any others that you are looking forward to playing with your friends (as opposed to against them)?

On the PS3 there's Little Big Planet.

Left4Dead and Gears2 will be the two I try and hassle peeps to play with me, really looking forward to both, be a good proving ground for who I play through Resi with...

Oh yeah, Left4Dead should be good, but I'm worried it'll be a little bit repetitive after a bit. The videos make it look scary, but seems to involve just clearing rooms of zombies. The idea is awesome, but might fail in practice.

Another one I'd forgotten is Aliens: Colonial Marines, which will be 4-player Co-op over Live.

Lef4Dead is ment to respond to the team's actions. They said in testing, players were shocked when they got killed by an enemy, reloaded at a checkpoint, and when they got to the same area where they died they expected to jump round and kill the enemy. But it wasn't there this time.

It seems each play through could be rather different as enemy spawn points are randomised than just all scripted.

Probably GoW2. But mainly cause I've already played Fable2 to death

I think the big money has to be on Resistance 2. 8 player co-op! Awesome!

LBP depends very much on the official levels and how much co-operation is needed. In terms of raw fun, this should be the best, but I'm not sure if it really qualifies as truly "co-op" as it's as much competition between players.

Gears 2 will be great I'm sure.

Left 4 Dead is a bit unknown, but then Valve never release crap, so I'm expecting greatness. Plus the game's unique Direct system should ensure it's fun for multiple games.

COD5 is co-op yes.

Fable 2 will have a patch the moment you put the game in your tray on day one, enabling you to play online.

Good news on both, even if I don't plan on getting either game! Co-op is a great way to experience games. Actually I should co-op Gears2 the first play through....

I think Left4Dead could be the best Coop experience of all time, that's what I'm expecting of it anyway!

Looking forward to Gears and hopefully a bit of Fable 2 also.
