    Connecting to iMac wirelessly

Pretty simple really. Set my Mac to share via ethernet to Airport but the PS3 wont play ball and I don't know why. Anyone else here use their mac to provide wifi and if so how did you do it? Cheers.

I bought a copy of Medialink - makes it effortless. Streams everything for my iMac upstairs to my PS3 in the front room, including HD footage...

Thanks for that. When I search for media, the Mac adds the PS3 under devices in the Medialink panel but the PS3 says nothing found. I wonder if something is fishy on the PS3 side, hmm.

All I did was run Medialink on my iMac and then a new icon appeared under the video/music/pictures section on the PS3 XMB... Click the icon and it takes you to the folders on your iMac, videos only show in video section etc.

Make sure you have Upnp turned on in your Airport.

I am getting a DNLA error 7531 grey box now on my PS3. I have the Nullriver Medialink icons in XMB but when clicked it just says no titles. Weird.

So updated the PS3 firmware to be sure and it still wont work, Mac recognises PS3 in the devices pane but the PS3 wont pick up Medialink at all now. The signal strength is around 95% so that can't be the reason and the nullriver support page is next to useless actually so no clue there.

Upnp on Airport? Where would I find such an option? AP Extreme is built in to my 2007 IMac if that's any use. My Ipod touch connects fine via Sharing >>> Airport so I just don't get why the PS3 wont.

Have you got the OSX firewall turned on? If so, turn it off.
Make sure Airport is not set to do any kind of port forwarding either.
