    Current Gen. arcade sticks (360)

with sf4 coming soon i have been looking at getting a new stick, following the battering i have delt my rap(+magic box), but reaslly want to stay with a quality unit but there seesm to be a distinct lack of sticks about. i did some crawling about the web and there is some buzz about madcats doing a custom sf4 stick. i know the general thoughts about madcats but i was wondering if anyone knew anything about them, or any other stick for the 360, as i want to buy it right the first time round as i dont really have the funds to get it wrong.

Aye, I am also on the hunt for a decent arcade stick but for PS3. What do peeps on the forum recommend? What's all this stuff about mldding buttons I keep reading about?

I read the madcatz one is being developed with input from capcom, so it may be good.

Think your options really are a Rap3 or VSHG, for PS3.

I'm more than happy with my Hori EX2 on the 360.

Granted I only use it for Shikigami 3, Raiden Fighters Aces & Battle Fantasia so it doesnt get masses of stressful use but seems fine so far.

I will hopefully be picking up one of the Madcatz Street Fighter 4 Editions when they get released as well though...mainly just because I like the look of them

Sure I read that the Madcatz SF4 sticks are using the same layout + part setup as the Vewlix cabs, and if that is true then I am going to be all over that, especially seeing as the art on them looks lovely.

I've got a Hori EX2 currently and for the price it's excellent. I know Hori have another 360 stick out (RAP EX or something?) which has the standard RAP kinda shape, is a little weightier, and has Sanwa buttons, but it's a pricey beast and in my book if you're going the whole hog, a modded EX2 is a fraction of the cost and still a very nice piece of kit.

The premium version of the SF4 is going have Sanwa buttons and a Sanwa stick. So it should be awesome.

The XO HRAP is great as well but hard to find. It has a Sanwa stick. The buttons aren't Sanwas but are pretty good. It should be easy to swap the buttons to Sanwas. I got my HRAP from akihabarashop.jp. I think they are sold out atm.

if the sf4 stick is going to be sanwa then that is going to be the stick to chase down, unless hori do a rap for the 360.
IS the ex2 wireless or wired? i ask as i have a rabbit that free roams and has on occation chompped the odd cable, though she hasnt bitten any since she got the mains cable from the fridge.

The EX2 is a wired stick I'm afraid.

Glad it's not just me with roaming rabbit cable issues!

The Ex2 is wired mate - only drag it out when the bunny is asleep or eating - least that way I know she's not gonna sneak up ninja style for a sly nibble....

and i though that i might be the only one.

what are the chances of the madcats sf4 stick being a wireless one for the 360?
if wireless arent going to come it might be time to crack open a 360 wireless pad and stuff it in a hrap case.

Those SFIV sticks should be good Madcatz have hardcore beat em up expert players working with them to make sure these sticks are proper.

I really like the look of this one
