There bloody well IS a spoon:

That's probably the best way to open the clamshell packaging if you think about it. It might take a few hours longer but the possibility of personal injury falls 95%

It really is ****ing horrible stuff and yes, does beg the question, how the hell can I return a faulty item in original packaging? It makes it impossible to exchange a mistake once you've opened it too and it's such a waste of plastics resources.

Maplin have some awesome packaging that looks like clamshell stuff but it has clips at the edges. Remove the clips and you can access your stuff. If you got the wrong kit you can put it back together easily and return it.

Got a logitech headset and it comes in "easy open" blister pack.... lol

I pulled and pulled and suddenly it peeled open with a snap, fracturing the plastic and cutting my hand when it slipped due to the sudden release of force. Tossers.

Headset is amazing on skype though. Really good mic (listened to the echo test)

Nothing like cutting your self on that plastic. Cuts surprisingly deep so that there's loads of blood. The places you get the cut also means you keep re-opening it when flexing your hand too.

Why do you people insist on using your hands? Don't believe their lies and just exercise caution. If it doesn't feel particularly easy on the first pull, just revert to cutting.

So far, everything I've ever bought that comes in a blister pack is something I'd need my hands to operate(like a controller) so it would be a bit silly damaging my main operating implement(s) in the process, thus rendering me largely unable to use said thing until my hands healed.
