        That looks awesome

I bought Pixel the other day and couldn't remember what the other recommend was from this thread, so have now made a mental note of it - Leave Home. Twin Blades, Leave Home, Twin Blades, Leave Home...

Twin Blades is nice, but it's very, very simple.

After tonnes of shovelware it seems we're starting to see people hitting their stride.
            Out now!

I have just had a quick go. The controls with the d-pad are not grabbing me at the minute. Feels stiff.

Yeah, I didn't enjoy it much either

it's a shame if they sort out the controls then it would be a reasonable game.

I have posted on the devlopers blog and he is working on the controls. It's a shame they released it in this state as people may be put off a purchase and the ratings make not be great by the time the fix is implemented.

Just so everyone knows, it's ****ing fantastic: seriously. Kenta Cho by way of Jeff Minter.
Glorious find. I'm a sucker for psychedelic/abstract/neon shoot 'em ups and this is one of the finest. The way the onslaught/level design dynamically reacts to a player's skill is genius and being just 5 minutes long it's incredibly addictive. Looks stunning too, like a 2D Rez.

I've had a quick play on Tobe's Vertical Adventure and indeed it feels very stiff and unpleasant, vicar. Which is a shame as in every other respect it's quite charming.

I bought it anyway. Once I managed to get used to the controls I found that I stopped making silly mistakes most of the time. The slight stiffness of the controls precludes it from having the same instinctive level of control that a Mario or Sonic game has but I can live with it for now. I'll try it with the Madcatz SFII pad later to see if there's any improvement.

Nevertheless, for 240 points it has bags of charm- I particularly enjoyed the scene that breaks the fourth wall in the intro.

I played BitStream. As much as it's good, it's a complete copy of the GBA game DotStream.

The developer has some cheek stating they came up with the concept. Everything about it - from the sound to the visuals - are copied. The only difference is a few 360 effects.

I don't like people taking credit for something they've blatantly copied from another dev.

They actually say they came up with the concept?

Get Decimation X people. It is 80 points well spent, especially if you want a bullet hell version of space invaders.
