Dynamite Headdy without a doubt. Great design, loads of nice touches, loads of original ideas and pretty leftfield as far as platformers go.

Castle Of Illusion is also excellent. as is Pocahontas. You may well scoff, but try it - you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Ristar is very cool, as is Dynamite Headdy.

Very soft spot for Strider of course...

Ristar. It's my favourite 16bit game period.

New Zealand Story on the megadrive was great. and was a better remix version of all the others conversions too... runs and hides if not that, then it gotter be D.Heady or Magic Hat... >>>

Does anyone remember Konami's Rocket Knight Adventures on the Megadrive?

I have the sequel - Sparkster: RKA2. It's ok. Bit fiddly and tough, though.

I don;t know if I think it was the best but I have a soft spot for Sonic 3. It was Sonic 2 for a long time but all its features have been regurgitated through that many subsequent Sonic games that I've grown a bit sick of things in it. Especially Casino Zone

                        Revenge of Shinobi.

Sonic 2, Ristar, Dynamite Heddy, Ghostbusters, Chamelion Kid, Wonderboy 3: Monster Lair.. there are too many greats to list.

                              I didn't even realise they'd done a sequel.

Would like to see an update on one of the newer platforms. Maybe in the vein of Maximo or something?

Sparkster was really weak. Small character sprite, dull levels, weak bosses. It's so devoid of character you'd never think it was related to RKA.
