    LBP Beta save bug

I've noticed since the beta ended, and I have my save files organised in groups - well ..

I deleted the save file from the grouped LBP Beta folder while in group view mode, and now I have a folder I cannot get rid of thats called 'LBP Beta' or whatever, I've just went through every other user and cleared out any they had - but its still there.

I really think theres no way to get rid of it other than the old complete format, and thats obviously uneccessary.

I could imagine that somehow installing the beta again, making a save, then deleting it in the normal non group view would work.
(not that thats possible due to even being able to get the beta again, and it wouldn't run.. so)

thankyou for your time. I hope this has been rewarding somehow

edit: I guess if someone had a save for it I could put that on there, and then delete it in non group view - anyone?

managed to get hold of a little big planet beta save, put it on from sd card, it then said I have 2 saves in group view, which I didn't. I deleted it and its still the same, sigh, seems this bug will be here with me forever.

The trials and tribulations of one Shane H Corbit. You'd need to re-install the beta to delete the folder.
        Kept you waiting, huh?

Lesson learnt for the rest of us - don't put saves into folders. I'm kind of wondering why you did so in the first place, it's not as if any of us have to directly access our savefiles very often.

Folders rock though. I sort my data in the same way. It's tidier and easier to manage.

I agree, with something that actually needs managing. Save files don't!

You obviously don't have the need to copy savle files between the PS3 HDD, a PSP, a PS1 memory card, and a PS2 memory card. Order is called for under such conditions.

It works fine normally and is a far better way to organise your saves.

                  Yes, I like organisation.

Joe I'll try reinstalling the beta but you can't even load it anymore, so I don't know if that will work, but I can try at least.

Do you have the option to rename the folder and delete it then? I'm not sure that would resolve anything and to go with that here's another that probably won't work.

Can you download the beta again but change the date and take the PS3 offline? That sounds far to simple to work but it may be worth a go...possibly.

I just tried downloading the beta and installing it, getting a save file from a friend, and it still didn't work.

I guess I could have changed the date, but I just deleted the beta again, I'm too lazy to download it and try again

I guess its there forever then, when I put the other save file on from SD Card, it actually said in group view that you have 2 saves in the LBP Beta folder, but only one was visible (the new one) so you could only delete that.

You can't rename albums either which in my opinion is very silly. because if you have 500 videos you want to put into an album you have to relabel every single file individually, if you could rename albums you'd just do that and it'd tag every file within, that has GOT to be a feature that'll appear in future firmwares.

I'm not really convinced changing the date would work as I'm guessing that when you start to download it you'll get an activating message which means the file is already being messed about with by the PS3.

I was thinking of the folders that you can put downloaded stuff in as you can rename the whole folder/album in those. Not ever tried it with saves as I just have them listed by game.

listed by game ? you mean listed by order of saving ? because mine are actually listed by game , and they are in groups
