tales of vesperia pal release date?

I don't suppose anyone knows exactly when this game is coming out over here do they?

I'm guessing if it does come out it will be quite a low profile affair and just suddenly appear on the shelves but I for one am quite eager to play this.

No news on publisher, release date, or anything.

For now, I'd assume it's not coming out to avoid disappointment.

How well did it sell in the US? I would assume that would factor in it getting a PAL release?

As far as I can see, probably a few copies above 100,000.

Thats not too bad for a JRPG. I just wonder if that would be enough incentive though as im sure it will sell less in PAL regions as well.

Lost Odyssey sold half a million in the US, for comparison.

I want to believe it'll come out, but it's not looking good. US sales weren't great and with no word on a publisher even, it's looking unlikely. Especially so given the series' history of not making it to Europe.

Maybe we should publish it ourselves

how utterly depressing. The game got great reviews in the U.S. and we seem to get everything else whether we like it or not, including infinate undiscovery for example.

I also remember someone mentioning there being a demo of it on the front of some UK xbox magazing before xmas so you would have assumed that might have been a good indicator.

                  Dang.

I don't suppose there is such a thing as an xbox freeloader is there?

I bought an asian console to get this and some shooters. Just waiting on my US special edition to arrive. Thats the only alternative at the moment unfortunatly. But then most of the best Tales games never made it here. E.g. Abyss.

Prior to the games US release, Namco Bandai were talking about a European release in early 2009 as the game required multiple translations. Since then its gone very quiet. Atari picked up Eternal Sonata so I thought they may have done the same for this. Unless the poor performance of Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant have put everybody off?

I thought Eternal Sonata did poorly aswell. Not that its suprising, it was a very bland uninspired rpg, shame really as the inclusion of Chopin was the most original idea the japanese have come up with in years.

Namco Bandai don't have any European presence at all, so I find it confusing that they'd make any kind of comment along those lines.

really? i thought most namco games came out over here. I can think of soul calibur, ace combat 6, katamari damaci and i know that there is a tales of game on the psp not to mention all the ds games they make that we get.

They were published by other people. Tales of Eternia was published by Ubisoft according to my recollection.
