Check out my new forum dedicated to the Mr. Driller series!

    Hey everybody...

I know I am not a regular user here...I mainly visit the shmups.com forums and neo-geo.com forums. However, I just wanted to let everybody know that I've created a forum dedicated to the Mr. Driller series. The reason I am posting here, is because over the years I've seen a couple of nice threads pop up here from time to time regarding the series, and I've seen that there seem to be a lot of Driller fans here hiding about.

So I'm here to let the community of Driller players (no matter how small) know about this place!

There is a small group of us that play these games at a very hardcore, dedicated level, and we would love for anybody here that has interest in the games to join us.

There are a few reasons to go there now if you like Mr. Driller.

    1) The entire scoring system is explained point for point there, including the requirements to get the Mr. Driller badges. No more wondering where your score comes from, or being unclear!

    2) A high score board for every game! Every single iteration of Mr. Driller is tracked. For now, we only have submissions for the arcade versions of Driller (our games of choice), but if you guys have scores for other versions (such as GBA ones, or Drill Spirits) or even Drill Land, there are directions there on how to submit scores.....basically, I don't want to have a game lsited there till there are actual scores submitted for that game...having an empty scoreboard is pointless (no pun intended).

    3) I know a lot more about the series that I actually wrote on the page. You guys can ask me any questions regarding the series or its gameplay directly.

Hope to see you Driller fans there!

Coolio, may check this out later, I've got a few driller games. Just picked up the japanese gameboy color one, but I still can't finish the 1000m! It's a pretty strange game. I can't tell if it's incredibly difficult or if there's a part of it I just don't get.

it's a little bit of both...

the driller games are hard, but eventually you undergo a transformation....and it becomes easy! of course, the upper levels are still a challenge, but i mean, you start to see patterns and don't even have to think that much about what to do. for now, try to work on getting all the air capsules....once you can get airs without drilling x-blocks, then the real fun begins!
