    Radiant Silvergun dilemma...

Bought a Saturn today, and along with the obligatory mecha gaming purchases I saw Treasure's much appreciated Radiant Silvergun...

    ...but it cost 15,800 yen.

I played it in the arcade here, and enjoyed it. I am not sure about the price tag though (especially considering that Dennou Senki Virtual On only cost me 380 yen).

    Should I or shouldn't I?

Thats about ?86, according the the nearest currency converter.

Look at it this way, if you find you get bored of it quickly, you could probably sell it at a decent profit.

Edit - that also makes your Virtual On ?2, which is just silly.

Yeah do what mid says. Buy it. If you dont like it just flog it on ebay for ?150 "R@RE SATURN GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111ONLY 1 EVAR MADE".

      You know the drill

At that price, I would say just about worth it yeah. That's about ?80 right? If it's a new/mint copy, then it'll definitely be worth buying. I picked my copy up for ?50 a few years ago, but I'd never pay the ridiculous ebay prices you see it for nowadays.

Go play the arcade version a couple more times just to make sure it's definitely for you, then take the plunge. A Saturn without RSG just seems incomplete.

plus u could use it on the new saturn emu giri giri or something from the new pczone, and its better than ikaruga but if theres no spine then u must kill someone.

Just your opinion man. Personally, I prefer Ikaruga to RSG. A lot more fun, and a lot faster imo.

              Got it.
              Terrible at it.
              Love it.

You should get the game. It's superb. I had to pay ?145 for mine, but the amount of play and enjoyment I got out of that purchase justified it in my opinion.

The thing with RSG is that for me at least, it's never got boring. There's so much to learn and master that it really is a game which encourages one to come and come back to it.

              Love that game.

i can do halo on legendary comfortably but ikaruga demoralises me utterly and laughs at me when i put it back in its box.

Well, I am going to have to give this one a long hard think. Depending on funds, RSG may have to wait a while. After all I have to this and this first.

                  No, really. I need them.

I still can't get over the fact that Virtual On was 380 yen though

Thanks for all the advice though, it has been duly noted...

Well...I bought RSG. All 15,800 yen of it.

Considering that RSG costs almost as much as my Cube did, I hope that this sucker lives up to its hype. Otherwise some bastard at Treasure is going to have to pay.

I will post utterly fascinating updates on my situation.

Its a bit late now but where did you buy it? I bought my copy from Sofmap for about 13,000 yen. I also saw some mint condition boxed twin sticks for 1,500 yen, couldnt get them though because of getting them back to england

I paid ?130 for my (ultra mint 8) ) copy of RSG, and I haven't regretted it at all. It IS better than Ikaruga, and they both chuck along at the same slow pace, compared to Battle Garegga and Sooukyugurentai.

Well, I bought it in a games store in Osu, Nagoya (called "Dolphin" in case anyone was wondering). Since then I have seen it far cheaper almost everywhere else. Luck of the draw I guess (same with trying to track down a ****ing copy of Bulk Slash).

As for the TwinSticks, depends on which ones really. The Saturn ones aren't worth the effort, but if they are the Dreamcast TwinSticks (meant for VOOT) then buy them now.

You could always sell it on ebay for a stupid price

The DC twin sticks (mint condition in box) where 5,000 yen (about ?25) wish I could of bought them but my silver ps2 and white saturn took up all of my luggage space
