    Wii/Gamecube freeloader question

I've thought about playing some Gamecube games on my PAL Wii and want to get a freeloader to play NTSC Cube games. I understand there's atleast one freeloader for the Wii but does it work as a Cube freeloader also? I'm also under the impression that Nintendo blocked NTSC Wii games from working with a system update but did this have any effect on the Cube games?

I'll also appreciate if anyone knows a good place to order one online?

Oh, and will a US Gamecube memorycard work on PAL Wii? I'm guessing it will, but I want to be sure.

Thanks for the answers in advance.

I'm not sure freeloader still works.
Homebrew channel and GeckoOS are you best bet.
Memory cards should be fine though.

It doesn't. If you want to play US Cube games, get a cheap US Cube or a US Wii.

Yeah it'll work fine. As mentioned, Freeloader won't work for NTSC Gamecube games but its extremely easy to install the Homebrew channel and then you can download Gecko OS through the homebrew channel. Although you will need a Wii copy of Zelda: Twilight Princess to trigger the install. Theres various guides scattered around the net to do this.

Okay. Thanks for answers. Looks like I might have to take a look at this homebrew channel thing then.

You don't need to mod the Wii or anything, right?

No, it's a softmod. No actual changes to the Wii hardware are required.

Did you gp ahead with this and if so how easy was it / which guide did you use please? I've been wanting to sort my USA Wii for a while and whilst eveyone says it's dead easy to do I can't seem to find a Homebrew for Dummies type guide .
