    Gaming-related food

    Hello!

Has anyone got any recommended websites for buying gaming-related sweets? Or Japanese foods in general? I'm more interested in the first one, as I found this Nintendo stars candy tin tonight:

As well as this PacMan ghost tin:

both at Anime Castle (of whom I've never heard, and whose international postage rates are shrouded in mystery).

Are these for sale anywhere else? They'd make great presents *cough* for my kids *cough*.

Not exactly what you mean but thanks to MGS shameless in-game promotions you can also include Calorie Mate and Regain..

Food is Japan's greatest obsession, so there are no end of novelty edible items.. most recent thing I saw was Spiderman instant noodles at USJ (little spidey heads floating in it). I'm sure if you go looking for stuff the supply will be endless.

I thought this was going to be a thread of food related power ups, massive burgers and drumsticks etc bah.

Hehe. I should just nip down to KFC and Burger King.

Anyway, thanks folks, but I was looking for a SUPPLIER. Someone give me a SUPPLIER! I want a name!

Cybercandy in Covent Garden and Brighton is the place to go for Nintendo-themed confectionery (you can also order online as well). That said, most of it seems to be out of stock at the moment, but you can get them to order.

Best food in a game that isn't Snake Eater was the chicken you picked up in Tekken 3's force mode.

Thanks for the suggestions - it's nice to be able to branch out from Pocky... Though I'm not knocking it - I like a lot.

I had the Advent Children Potion when I was out in Japan last year and it was really nice. There was one this year for Dissidia and it tasted like ass! Everywhere was trying to sell it off proper cheap because it was so awful.

Now, I'm going to feel bloody stupid if it turns out it was the same drink just in different, albeit prettily decorated tins.

I assumed it was the same drink, it's still called 'Potion'. Nowhere near me is selling it cheap either, it'S 200 yen everywhere (still on the shelves too). I love the artwork on the can but I'm not paying 200 yen for a drink, it's daylight robbery.
