I didnt like the game but good review all the same.

Though its odd that the review mentions the "great gunplay", as a massive FPS fan I felt the gunplay was very much lacking to be honest. Its the main reason I didnt like the game.

Have to agree. The gunplay was rubbish and the respawning was unforgivable.

I think the game is rubbish , and doesn't look half as good as people make out

The gunplay is quite good, you only have to play online to really see that. Best graphics I've seen on my 360 yet!

Good review , Not sure I would give it a 9 though myself. But I wouldn't argue against it either

Another here who thought the gunplay was poor. I also felt the AI was average at best too. Couple this with the game's reliance on cheap tactics to add artificial challenge and longevity to the experience (respawning enemies, breaking guns, too much travelling etc) and, for me, you have a title that was far and ahead the most disappointing game of last year.

Still, different strokes for different folks and all that

Good review of a marmite game. I traded it in soon after hearing voices in my head that told me to kill the people who thought it would be a good idea to make the mission objectives f***ing miles away. Battling the same enemies over and over again, guns that lock up in the heat of combat, and fixing my **** heap of a vehicle every five f***ing minutes was tedious to the extreme.

              And breathe...

It is/was an odd game, where I'd agree with Edge's review even though I hated a whole catalogue of features about it. Terrible AI that can't handle getting attacked at range at all, far too much mediocre mission design, gameplay features that were questionable at best and nigh-on broken at worst, half the game as promised simply wasn't there, horrible voice acting, a plot that fizzles out and never builds on any of its best points...

...but it did look amazing. The immersion made up for a lot, and the sheer ambition made it worth playing at times even if it didn't follow through on most of it. A 9 is too high, but it was a good game and I'm pleased I sank forty hours into it.

                  Thanks for the comments guys!

I guess the game just clicked with me. It is a game that really divides people and I seem to have fallen into the camp that really enjoyed it. It certainly isn't without it's flaws but I just fell in love with it.
