Price drop/cost saving redesign seems most likely. There's definitely a PS2 price cut coming but that's only slightly newsworthy and not worth a big event. Project Ringo is the worst so far for announcements. An announcement for an announcement and they still haven't shown anything of note about it.

Hopefully it'll be a nice big price reduction and include blu ray drives where the diodes don't burn out if you sneeze on them.
