Thinking of Selling my PS3, need help please!

    Hi Guys,

Im thinking of selling my PS3, however, ive got some games on the hard drive (Warhawk, GT5:P, Etc) and i was wondering if there is any way i can keep them on there for the new owner, and also to increase the value a little bit?

The problem is just with the username that they are stored under. how can i transfer the purchases to them without them getting my information (if that makes sense?)

    Thanks in advance!!

You would need to keep the profile that you used to buy the games on the hdd. If you removed it the new owner would get an error message when they tried to run them.

You can however 'depersonalise' the profile by removing any associated debit / credit card and replacing your personal info with made up details e.g. Joe Bloggs, 1 Any Street.

From experience I'd say that leaving the content for the new owner won't really inflate the selling price much. It's a nice wee sweetener to entice potential buyers though!

You'd also need to transfer the profile to their email address, wouldn't you?

Could you just either agree an address with the new buyer, or set up a hotmail addy or summat?

Thats what i was thinking, setting up a free email address for them, and they could change the password when they bought it.

thing is, if the games ive got on it dont really add much value, is there any point? ive put a 120gb hdd in it and cant really be arsed in swapping it back!
