    Flying

What flying games can you guys tell me about?

I have been looking into getting Sidewinder V (Lethal Skies 2) on the PS2 as it looks faiirly nifty. Anyone played it and can comment?

Sky Odyssey on the PS2, a little rough around the ages but I found it most enjoyable - can prob be picked up for a budget price now too.

If you're looking for something simple, arcadey and fun, try Master Of The Skies: The Red Ace and Red Ace Squadron for the PC. Lots of WW1 era dogfighting and bombing, available as shareware downloads from Small Rockets. I designed the missions for Red Ace Squadron.

Dropship for PS2 is also good if you like that sort of thing, although quite hard.

Well, for the PC, the definitive flight sim at the moment is IL-2 Sturmovik and Forgotten battles (stand alone, semi-add on), and it's superb in multiplayer, with full co-op missions.

For the XBox, I quite liked flight mode in GunMetal. Ok, it's very arcadey, and with no real throttle (Slow, Average, Afterburn), but it's quite fun, and some of the weapons are excellent.

Yagar (XBox) or maybe a Rogue Leader (N64/GCN) game? Sega's Aerowings 4 (PS2) is pretty darn groovy too (previous games on the DC, just as good - Aerodancing F has a link mode too!).
