Good Import shops in London do they exist?

Im going down to london next week and was wondering if anyone could let me know if there are any good import shops left in london as i feel like actually buying a game from the shop rather than internet for once.

    cheers

Do a quick search because I'm sure there's at least a couple of other threads on this, but at the risk of repeating old posts, there's Game Focus on Goodge Street, and that's about it now. That said, I haven't been in there for a while but I've heard they're only really doing large releases now import-wise, and someone told me there's really not much in the way of retro/other interesting stuff anymore, but I'm not sure.

If it's crap though, you could always nip round the corner to Casino and play SF4 and Mushi Mushi Pork

Goodge Street is that the one near the Subway and the Tesco Metro with the mega expensive saturn and dreamcast games in the basement, i think i have been to it before (it was the only one i found last time)

Thanks for the tip on Casino though I may just have to go there

              Is correct.

Raven Games in Kent are still around - check out their website. Not the best prices, but excellent for mods and repairs IMO - they fixed my Panasonic Q.

Skill in Ealing is closed, as far as I know.

Not too sure about Another World - don't think it's around anymore, but I could be wrong.

As mentioned earlier, Game Focus on Goodge Street is your best bet nowadays. Friendly customer service, but their prices occasionally tend to take the proverbial (£50 for a used copy of Ouendan 1 - WTF!!??).

As you come out of Goodge Street station (Northern line), turn right and take another right. You'll pass a couple of restaurants, a seedy video shop, and a hardware store and Game Focus will be on the otherside of the street. If you've reached the end of the street and there's a photo development place, you've gone too far and need to back up on yourself.

Yeh, its round the corner from CEX. Game Focus is crap now though, the downstairs section does mainly DVDs and the like, if memory serves me right.

Skill in Ealing shut down, Ravengames was great the kast time I was there (like 7 years ago!), but a bit of a trek from Central London.

Another World, a few years ago I lived in Croydon and they had one in the main shopping centre there for a while. Think they renamed though to New Age Consoles or something like that Not sure if its still around though.

Just as an addendum to what's already been said: Skill in Ealing closed two weeks before I moved there. Not that I'm bitter.

bah! For some reason I thought you were a long-timer Ealing resident, you aint that cool at all! TBH they didnt really do a great deal of import stuff, especially towards the biter end. Having a Game store about 20 yards across never really helped matters.

Oh! there's an electronics store on Shaftesbury Avenue in the heart of Chinatown, has an import games section. They also quite openly perform Wii mods and offered an Oriental gent 2 free games with his Wii mods
