Ganbare Goemon but not as you've seen him before

Wow, the graphics on this thing are lovely they use some lovely rendering technique. I never ever in a million years would think they would make a goemon pachislot machine but now i have seen it i will move heaven & earth to eventually get one in my bedroom. The thing is full of modes & just pure goemon fan service.

    DO WANT

It really makes me wish for a new goemon game on the wii, pleeeeeze konami make it so.

Gotta love a great new Pachislot machine! That looks awesome!

I still love my Jet Set Radio and Hokuto No Ken ones - there was a guy who sells the older ones on Ebay for not a bad price too (where I got mine from!)

I can't find any info on this goemon one i dont think it's released yet, going to have to wait a year or two till theres some decomissioned ones in circulation then try to find a seller that will ship one to the uk.

Heh I remember my work's christmas party last year had a casino theme. It was a particularly cheesy affair in a dodgy leisure centre in Wales with very basic looking gambling tables. However I was surprised that they had pachislot machines there, proper Japanese ones. If I remember correctly they had 5 machines in total with Speed Racer, Tomb Raider and Popeye amongst them. I had no idea how they got them but it was a very pleasant surprise. Typically though no one played on them all night

You can easily get them on ebay & a few uk companies sell them too, most are suprisingly cheap considering the technology in them, my jet set radio one cos about ?140 including postage off of ebay, even the really high tech ones are only a few hundred.

I much prefer pachislot to a boring bog standard fruit machine, plus you can get some pretty cool videogame related ones too, mmmm goemon one day you will be mine.

I can't find the seller I got mine from on Ebay anymore which is a shame, but I imagine a quick google will turn up some good results!

I think my Jet Set one was about £140 ish too, and my Hokuto No Ken, was a bit more expensive - but it was a newer machine. They don't cost the earth as Importaku says, and you do get a lot of tech for your money (IMO) - only downside to them is they weight loads and are just so LOUD

IIRC the most expensive ones I saw were just over the £200 mark - heck I remember the day I payed £250 for a US Import Steel Battallion! So certainly not a rip off

So what do you do with them when you've got them? Are they just an ornament? I mean, I've played pachinko before, it seems like it would be a pretty pointless and quickly tiresome game if you owned the machine yourself.

This isn't pachinko it's pachislot, pachinko is the one with the ball bearings pachislot is the one with the reels like a fruit machine. And you play them, as i doubt anyone keeps one as an ornament. The true point of them is sort of lost when they are at home as they are mainly used for gambling to win as many medals as possible to exchange for cash.

Pachinko is pretty short term fun but it's still great to own. Pachislot tends to have a lot more bonus modes so gives a more longer lasting experience. A lot more videogame based pachislot machines than pachinko too i have seen the resident evil & beatmania ones & they look very cool.

Beatmania is pretty cool as it is very game based when it hits the bonus round.

My mistake on the pachinko/pachislot thing. I played pachislot too (I think it was Sonic themed), but my point still stands - how is it fun when you remove the whole raison d'etre of the game, namely what effectively amounts to gambling?

To be honest of late mine sit there a lot of the time unloved. There are a somewhat novelty item, and best enjoyed in groups - but are great fun all the same

You know, when I saw the title, I honestly thought it was going to be Goemon for the PS3. I love the Goemon series, and am a bit miffed it's been abandoned by Konami (I still maintain Goemon 64 is better than Mario 64, by a country mile, with more variety and depth).

                        Still, awesome find importaku!
