Warhawk was one of the very few games that I actually enjoyed playing online as I don't normally bother with them. I had right laugh playing with people on here, I'd be happy to have a few games in preparation of this as has been mentioned.

Yeah, I had the BR version but sold it - I'd also be more than happy to pick up the PSN version again for some shenanigans.

Anyone up for some dogfighting deathmatches? The aerial combat in Warhawk is completely unmatched, in any game, ever. I really hope Starhawk can retain that while introducing all this extra stuff.

No, there's no hover any more. But they can land, and from what I can gather they play like a mech then.

That's a bit of a shame - although it will stop the annoying situation of hovering warhawks harassing a lone foot soldier (<- in an ideal world your teammates would protect you, but this is online gaming where people rarely help each other), for pure dogfighting the hover was a crucial part of what made the handling so special.

This shows the level of improvement that makes the idea of a Warhawk 2 on PS4 amazing, My only niggle is the shared rift energy which will likely prove problematic in general games

Thing was that whenever I wanted to engage in a dogfight, I would get locked by those AA campers.

There were Warhawks only servers though, that was pretty good fun.

A little off topic but for people thinking of picking up Warhawk again, I had a look in town and a couple of places had it for ?5 which is nice and cheap. I didn't buy it as I want to check if I have the download version first.

US release date of 8th May, presumably the UK date will be close. After the closed beta I couldn't be bothered downloading the open beta last night so I'm thinking I might skip this. Not as good as Warhawk

I kind of still want to like this more than I do, IGN has scored it 9.0, PSU have scored it 8.5, PSLifestyle gave it 7.5, Game Revolution 7.0, Metro have scored it 6/10 saying at the moment the community playing it is too random to properly enjoy it. The beta left me disappointed and cold to this, it seemed to have lost the appeal that Warhawk once held.
