COD World at War: Nazi Zombies NTSC-uk.com review

Thanks to Oli for the words and Jamie for the banners.

excellent review of the most addictive bonus game for me to date. i've already spent countless hours with friends playing just this map and mode. Die Nacht der Untoten is truly worthy of the name "co-op game" and it's also worth getting the game for just to play this. however, that's what i like to read here on NTSC-uk. hope there's more game-in-game reviews to come...

for now, thanks to Oli and Jamie!

by the way: living in Germany but playing the uncut version i am still struggling to find a way to get the DLC including the new Nazi Zombie map downloaded and working. the technical way of working around the IP ban still seems a bit complicated for me. someone knows of a XBL marketplace in europe without IP ban?

Is there any particular reason the banner says 'Nacht der Undertoten' when it should say 'Nacht der Untoten'? You ought to have a basic grasp of German grammar if you're gonna work on a website dedicated to video games.

unsure how bad babelfish is but 'Undertoten' or 'Untoten' doesnt actually translate as undead or anything at all

toten however is dead, so 'Nacht der toten' is night of the dead

good review and in my little opinion the only redeeming point of COD5

just hope modern warfare 2 is much better

Well Babelfish is very bad, but Untoten is used in the game anyway. I basically bought it off you Jason for the sole purpose of playing Nazi Zombies (and the undeniable pleasure of roasting Japs alive). Got to round 12 in single player, 225 zombies redead!

probably the programmers just adding un to toten for undead

i adore the COD games, just a little let down with that one

but the bonus game is excellent, think i got to level 6 before i sold it on - the room was full at that point so kudos to surviving further

"Nacht der Untoten" simply translates to "Night of the Undead". so it's got nothing to do with understanding german grammar, just a misspelling i would guess. i am sure Jamie will correct this asap.

have to add it's a shame that you can't level up in this!!!

Well that was just a humourous Alan Partridge quote

That is a real tragedy with the game mode. Zombie based challenges and perks would be amazing. Hopefully in Modern Warfare 2...

not really sure its gonna be in MW2 as its not COD anymore plus with modern and Infinity Ward doing MW2 and not Treyarch who created it, but i guess we can all hope

Apologies for the shoddy banner everyone.

I would fix it but it's a combination of my Internet being bust (which means I can't upload anything from my PC) and there's another waiting in the wings which means this one will disappear soon for a brand new one - sans any dodgy Germanic translation.

I blame it on the fact I can barely read and write English, so trying to be a smart arse and type stuff in German was asking for trouble.

In that long list of features that was leaked by a tester (not sure if it was ever confirmed) Zombies is down as a feature in Modern Warfare 2. It is also crazy popular online so it has a good chance.
