The same goes for Split Second, I'd probably have bought both games if they released during quieter periods.
I completly missed all of them. Probably my fault though.

I too went on a hunt on Sunday in Game / Gamestation for Blur, none to be found. No displays, nothing.

Not sure whats going on, but its Activision init, the new EA. Obviously Bizarre miss out, but I still haven't forgiven them for abandoning PGR4 support from release day onwards. Still waiting for the in-cockpit MPH/Gear overlay to appear....

Tesco are doing a nifty deal with this, especially if you're after a cheap 12 month gold subscription. Buy Blur and get the 12 month subscription for half price, not too shabby at all.

I went to Game at the weekend to buy it-no sign of any discs for any format.
So went down to HMV and got it from there (with 800 free Live points)
            Game are losers.

You wouldn't see Game/Gamestation doing this for Call of Duty. Happily pimping overpriced SE of them, heck they still are when they are lower in price. They certainly know their market, screw a new IP.

Yeah that really gets my goat.
The next phase of videogame development hell-appease the retailer (facepalm)

Game/Gamestation (if they have it in stock) are selling it at a rather expensive price too, £44.99 I think.

What exactly the dispute between Game and Activision?

Why can't even this motivate me to try Blur out?

Other than the obvious answer of course. Ugly things.

as this is only 10 quid at Play now I am considering it....is the online still active? by active I mean a n00b has a chance to play rather than just be destroyed by experts

Its worth it just for the single player. Fantastic game.

Yeah, there is a beginner lobby anyway, so you'd be fine for a bit. I'd recommend single player first as by the time you finish that, you'll have some decent cars for online.
