I think it looks like a horrible 80's throwback myself. Wouldn't want one of those if i had a choice between a standard PSP or that thing.

It looks suspiciously close to this.

We'll find out soon though, got it downloading now. They're saying 16GB of internal memory which would be useful although there was rumours they were doing different models with different amounts of memory.

I can't remember the last time I downloaded Qore, they were probably giving something away at the time.

In that picture, unless you have ET style fingers, how would you possibly reach the L and R shoulder buttons whilst playing?

The same as you would in this photo?

Hmm.. One thing that' incredibly suspicious... Flat silver headed screws on the back? Why do something that ugly? You'd at least expect them to be painted black. Not seen that on a portable (console, phone or whatever) ever really.

Well, it's definitely genuine according to Qore and it looks a lot nicer in the videos. Looks a lot smaller than the Slim.

No UMD Drive, will all existing PSP games be downloadable?

The rumour is some sort of Kiosk method, proof of purchase = download etc...

The analogue nub looks like it's in an even more uncomfortable position than on the regular PSP.

Edit - ah I see. Qore was due to be released this coming Thursday after E3 but it's been leaked hence why we find out about it now. Was wondering why they'd bother announcing this so close to E3 and not just have it as a conference announcement.

Price is going to be key for this.

Looks very reminiscent of the original Sony Mylo messaging device.

I won't be buying one. My original release PSP 1000 is sufficient for me, I never take it anywhere anyway.

How much is a PSP now? I suppose the main options are leaving the current PSP at whatever it is now and this being a higher price or reducing the current one and having this at similar price to what the PSP is now.

It was a short video but one of the things they mentioned was having smaller, easier to develop games designed for download only. It may be a sign of them looking to have something along the lines of Apples App Store in the type of games they're after.

After having an iPhone for a while I absolutely love what they've done with the App Store when it comes to the type & cost of games so I'd like to see something similar for PSP users. The only thing I don't like about the iPhone for games is it's lack of a d-pad.

I would expect this to be either £99 or £129 really.

£99 would make this a purchase for me. However are PS Network games tied to a device? Don't want to lose potentially hundreds of pounds of games if I lose or damage the unit.

Also will be interesting how the games are priced. One of the things about downloads is it lessens price deflation
