I read the review and it just confirmed to me what I had read beforehand about the game. I love slightly 'arcadey' flight combat games when done well like Ace Combat, But I've played enough clones to know that it doesn't take much to spoil the mix. This games sounds like an attempt at something very similar but in trying to distance itself from AC have taken the game way too far down the arcade road for my taste. At least that is how it sounds.

I don't want 'help' with the flying, if the controls are as they should be and the game well designed it should not be necessary. I certainly don't want the controls simplified or compromised just because you happen to prefer to use a particular viewpoint. Ace Combat got it right years ago and they've not changed the basic flying controls and camera options that much since. There's good reason for this - it works.
