What a difference a cable makes

    Or 2 to be precise

Now my TV is a JVC HV32P37S which apparantly does RGB over Scart 1 but to me it never quite looked like it until now.

So after having put up with grainy poor almost compo****e quality pictures from my Scart cables for my Saturn & PS2 I decided to invest in some better options.

I am now in possesion of 1 custom Chaotic Jelly Saturn Scart Cable & a PS2 Component cable from Famidude.

    The difference is amazing.

First up the Chaotic Jelly Cable is brilliant, great quality feel & chunky compared to my standard Scart cable.
Fired up Batsugun as a test & switched periodically between my old & the new Cable to see how they compared & the differences were impressive.
The CJ cable makes everything crisper, clearer & colours are much better produced.
Before it was grainy, dull & colours were washed out...it was almost unbearable to play for any length of time because of the graphical qualities but now it's all I want to play...well that & battle Garegga anyway

Then I fired up the PS2 with the Component cable.
Now I'd heard how good the Component can be but nothing quite prepared me for what I got when it booted up.
The difference was like Night & day...simply astounding.
Even the browswer & setup menu looked a million times more impressive, bright & crisp.
Winning Eleven 2007 looked astounding before with the Scart the players all ghosted badly when moving, pitch looked grainy & colours were dull, options screens were blurry & difficult to read (If I could read Japanese anyway ) even team emblems were difficult to make out.
Now though running through the component everything is how the great god Sony intended...bright, colourful crisp graphics.
Players all move fludily without any ghosting whatsoever.
Menu screens are much more legible & I can finally make out team badges

Then I popped some Hokuto No Ken on & my jaw almost hit the floor.
It looked better than I could have hoped.
The title screen was much clearer, text more legible & far less grainy then before.
Had a few quick goes as Kenshiro against Heart & as usual got my arse handed to me but now I didnt mind so much because it looked sooooooo good.
Colours on the charcters were vibrant & they moved much more fluidly (Or so it appears anyway)
The background as well was clearer & looked more detailed then I remember last time I played it, in all the game is stunning & it's taken me until now to finally get to see it in it's true glory.

Anyway I guess the reason for this thread is to gloat slightly at how amazing everything looks now & also te re-afirm that old adage that you need RGB & if you can get one a custom cable is the way forward
