    Contra 4

I'm currently hugely addicted to this game.
It's every bit as good as Alien Wars on the SNES IMO
The use of the 2 screens is good as well, but does land me with a lot of cheap deaths because I miss the odd stray bullet as it flies down the screen.

Also Football Director is a great way to lose hours as well.

The missus is playing away at Taiko No Tatsujin as well & thats an addictive little blast.

As Buster said Ketsui Death Label is a must buy but hideously expensive now due to the limited print run.

I've also been enjoying Treasure's Bleach games which if your a fan of the anime then you need to own these...head & shoulders above the PS2 games IMO

Lastly Lifesigns is worth investigating...it's like Trauma Centre but much much better.
Has a great story mode & the operations are much more realistic.
It was my first DS purchase & one that I go back to on a regular basis.

    Neil

Another Vote for Custom Robo DS. If it had 4p Vs via Wifi it would have been just that little bit better. Still a great game though.

Sim City Creator (Sim City DS 2)
          FFXII Revenant Wings
Endless Frontier: Super Robot Taisen OG Saga (mugen no frontier - now out in English)

I should play Jet Impulse some more...

There's a pretty vast array of quality games for the DS now, pretty hard to narrow down the best ones.

Mario Kart DS (the snaking broke the game but it's still solid and better than the Wii version)
New Super Mario (not as good as SMW or SMB3 but a quality platformer)
Phoenix Wright series (play them in order, don't skip ahead)
Castlevania (order of quality is Dawn of Sorrow > Order of Ecclesia > Portrait of ruin)
FFIII and FFIV (IV has a better story, III has more freedom)
DQIII and IV (III is more challenging, IV has a better story)
The World Ends With You ( steep learning curve but one of the most creative RPGs of the generation)
            Kirby Power Paintbrush
            Suikoden Tiekris (bestsuikodengameinawhilesolongasyoudontmind theveryfastvoiceacting)
Mario and Luigi Partners in Time
