Halo: Reach dated for 14th September

Seems like this could do with it's own thread.

It first cropped up on Kotaku and now the beginnings of an achievements page have been spotted.

Could it be a brand new game?

Perhaps Halo 1 will get a release on Live with achievements and online coop?

Halo 1 remake in 720p widescreen including a few extra levels and online-coop would be a dream come true. but dreams tend to remain dreams forever unfortunately.

as for Halo: Reach i wouldn't hang my hopes too high. i'd love to play any prequel to the Halo trilogy even without beloved Master Chief but that there's still no info at all about this game doesn't make me very confident. i'm crossing my fingers though.

Apparently the 5 minutes early thing is to do with a musical event. Unless Halo:Reach comes with a plastic guitar? Or perhaps its "Halo:Reach (for the stars)"?

Isnt the fall of reach sort of over done now? We have Halo Wars, and the books, and the fact its mentioned quite a lot already. I mean, dont get me wrong - it seems like a cool part of the era - but Halo 3 legendary ending had a bit of a tease there and I really hope thats followed up sooner rather than later

I think its more likely to be the squad based 3rd person shooter that was rumoured before the announcement of Halo 3 ODST.

Although I'm excited about its potential, I kinda feel like it got lost in the rush at their conference, due to Forza 3, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, Metal Gear Rising and Project Natal, as well as actual gameplay of Halo 3 ODST. Maybe they should've held on to this until the end of the year?

I dont know if it was mentioned in the conference thread, but if you buy Halo ODST, then you'll get a code for the multiplayer beta of Reach.
