This is a beta? Should be alpha!

Slow loading doesn't describe it! Stuttering framerate in "videos", horrendous load times.

Bad idea releasing this as a beta.

The customisation for the characters is good though I'm not a huge fan of the vinyl mighty muggs style. It's what miis should be. Plenty of scope for different cars providing the parts make a difference.

I am downloading the beta now (at 72%) and I am really dying to try this out. The whole concept of the game sounds fascinating. I want to know when the full game is out as I will totally get this Day One if the game is good

Yay... 90 minute download. Seriously, that's long. 360 games this size don't take me more than a half hour.

That's just because everyone is racing to get it. I think I was among the first to download it since it took me 40 mins + about 5 mins to install. Not really worth it. The game seems gash and the beta should never have seen the light of day in this state.

my god this is horrible, I know the purpose of beta and demo is different but you just can't put software with problems like this into the paying punters hands.

this has gone from a storng buy to me to something I'm highly dubious of now, I know they can polish late in teh process etc but the choppy framerate and lousy control truly suck in this.

I actually quite enjoyed it once I got into it. Spent 20 minutes trying to beat my mates' times! Right now though it kinda plays like a broken version of Mario Kart. I want to customise the controls too; making me hold down R2 continuously on a Dual Shock 3 pad is ridiculous. I want D-Pad steering too! I'm gonna drop them some feedback.

I enjoyed it, but don't think I'll be buying it until its sub £25.
The tracks were okay, but assume when people start customising tracks it'll be a lot more fun. And I hate the R2 button on PS3 controllers. It doesn't feel right.

I gotta disagree with most people apart from FSW , i enjoyed it , yes its a bit ropey but its a beta, i can see the potential in it, and the modding and track building could keep it fresh forever, get in a 12 player online race its a laugh and FUN.

R2 and L2 are fine for shooting guns but that's it!

Although this is a Beta, I hope the final game has quicker loading times. It takes way too long to get to an online race, and frankly, it puts you off before you even start.

I can see this having its own fanbase. I think the make your own tracks, custom car etc will appeal to many.

The controls hopefully will have more options in the final game. The default set is not bad but would like to able change buttons and the steering sensitivity, which too loose at the moment.

Online racing is not bad, a bit manic with all the power ups and I guess you will have to learn what to use and when otherwise you will not win owt

So, I will await the final release before passing judgement. Right now it has the potential to be fun. It does need the 'one more go' addiction which will really be hampered by the current load times

I was a tad harsh on this after an initial go late at night.

framerate is choppy and handling is off but there is a lot of fun in this, the track designer is brilliant but I wonder if in making the barrier so low an easy to design a track if the game will simply get swamped with 1000s of very similar tracks, making sorting the good from the duff a bit of a lottery

modding your karts and people is lovely too.

they really need to nail the racing though as at the moment its too frantic.

lots of potential here and could go either way

                                Thank you!

I'm glad someone else feels this way! For me, this isn't even good enough to put out as a beta.
