Presume it will just be a vanity item to make you feel more kinected to the game. If it's anything more they could just detect some LED's for powering the lightsaber on/off in RL and the game.

Wasn't it part of the (initial) design of kinect that it wouldn't detect held items so people wouldn't start swinging untethered items around and break tv's?

I've got a kinect and love it - so there.

Also, sods law I mention that I've not had any issues with my xbox since it was originally fixed. It's now having 'issues' reading disks.
      Shat.

I thought MS had outlawed any kinect peripherals?

Kinect is good fun, but I think some people can't seem to get over the fact that it can't replace a standard controller. It's just another way to play games, not a replacement.

It's definitely not a replacement. Fruit ninja really has shown just howresponsive it can be though - although navigating the box menus is horrible

The way I understood it, it has been specifically designed so it won't work with peripherals.

RE: Lightsabre, it's probably just a prop which has no impact on game play. I can't see it being "specifically designed so it won't work with peripherals", just look at fun labs.

Seriously, I'm literally sick and tired of Star Wars Parody adverts.

There's nothing more family orientated and heart warming than promoting the concept of children causing choking to be fun. What a moronic advert.

Still, not as bad as the Vodafone Yoda ones.

Doctors are able to manipulate 3D images by merely gesturing with their hands rather than using a computer mouse and keyboard.
