How much should I pay for a 2nd hand PS3??

Basically what should I be expecting to pay to buy a 2nd hand PS3???

My Japan 360 is toast & the fine Mr Pavey is going to have a look in a couple of weeks to see if it's fixable or not.
If it isnt I cant afford to replace it with another Japan unit so think I'll have to forgo the pleasure of future CAVE shooters
In which case I'm actually considering jumping ship totally & heading over to a PS3...but I'm not sure what I should be looking at paying.

I'm not too fussed about HDD sizes so the cheaper unit would the better to be honest.

I've seen most on AV Forums sell for about ?170 for 40GB units is this a fair price to pay or should they be cheaper??

a 60gb goes for around £190 in my local indie, Im Sure i read the blu ray drive is not as good on the 40gb version so you might want to check up on that, for one of them I think they bang them out for about £150-170, they had a pretty white/silver japan one last time i was there a couple of weeks back for 190 (think its an 80) i could see if he still has??

Ideally I'd love a White/silver one... white espcially they are sooooo freaking sexay in white

Unfortunatley I'm still in the process of saving for the PS3 so I expect even if they do still have it now by the time I can afford to buy it they wont have

^^ when you get it i can always ask there they get silver/white ones in from time to time and its real near where i work so its ne bother, shoot me a pm when you got it and ill ask him for you
