Yes, I have the Asian version.

It's not too bad. Probably a First Play on it somewhere.

I think it's ace, my favourite racer on the PS3, get the JPN version though as it has online play and extra cars to download which the Asian version doesn't

Yes, all PS3 software is region free.

Initial D: Extreme Stage is based on Arcade Stage Ver.4 and the quality of the port is very good indeed. However, Ver.4 isn't particularly well liked amongst the the Initial D community due to the massive changes they made to the handling. It's still a good racer but if I do think Special Stage for the PS2 (based on Ver.2) is a better game.

Definitely get the JP version if you can though for the online play and DLC (most of which is free).
