Super Mario Marathon

The second Mario marathon, it's to help raise money for the charity 'Child's play'. This time they are going for 100% completion of SMB1, SMB2, SMB3, SMB World, SM64, SM sunshine and SM galaxy.

They have currently raised $23,370.50 and been going since 9:00am on friday, they are currently on Mario Galaxy with 110 stars and you can watch a live stream of them now:

Good on them for raising money for a good cause out of video games. They're nearly at the 70th hour mark.

Yeah, they're taking it in turns whenever they feel like it. It seems a pretty relaxed atmosphere there, they pause the game and have a look on their laptops now and again; talk to each other; and if they can't do something they'll pass the controller around between them.

There's also the 'couch dog' who seems to be famous now, on the twitter feed underneath the stream they go mad when they see the Lassie looking dog jump on the couch watching the screen.

Just watched a bit of this this morning. They're are on 91 shines for Mario Sunshine. The other two guys have left one poor bloke on his own. He can't even make simple jumps now without falling and dieing. I guess after 90 hours of play even I would be losing the will to live.

They have finished now with just over $28k raised for charity in 100 hours. Well done to them.
