Is it just me or have zavvi still not figured out how to make money? You'd think they'd learn from their mistakes.

Before they went under, I used to think it was curious that all their email-shots were for games 75% off. Where's the advertising for the full price stuff? I wasn't surprised when they were received.

So now it's up and running again and the mailshots are back to the same stuff. I predict they'll be gone by the end of the year.

Unless of course they now specialise in buying up old stock very cheaply and making money by selling it on.

Well they now under one very big umbrella of a few sites, The Hut and Zavvi are the same company now. I noticed The Hut was selling alot of Midway titles there cheap, Blitz : The League II and Unreal Tournament III for under 8 quid each and I picked them up.

They are part of Asda/Walmart aren't they?

Yeah they are now part of the TheHut chain (ASDA/Walmart) so they can probably buy up games for peanuts because they order so damn many of them.

I'm amazed at how cheap all the major online shops are now selling games, Amazon/Play/TheHut etc all seem to be cutting huge chunks off the price of stuff even when games have only been out a very short time. Either they are getting very good deals with the suppliers, or they are selling stuff at a loss simply to generate cash flow and drum up business.

I've never known gaming to be so cheap as it is atm as long as you know where to shop.

Yeah, Hit, Zavvi, Sendit, Lovefilm, ASDA and a few others are the same. All sent from the same place, only difference is the headings on the receipts!
