R type display zoom

Bought a Wii yeserday and the first game I bought for VC was R type

I have an issue which is that the display seems zoomed in - i.e. blocky graphics and a "closer" view of the screen than normal

Is there any way to rectify this and if so does it need to be done manually each time I fire up the game

I have a 32', HD ready tv, which includes 480p which I believe is the max for a Wii display

You might be imaging it? R type never seemed to have that big a feield of veiw compared to alot of games in its genre really.

As far as i am aware the PC engine version is pretty much arcade perfect, though i could be wrong.

Was it the pc engine version you bought, or is the master system version also available now?

It's the PCE version on VC.

I need to make it so there are borders on the sides to have the correct aspect ratio

The Wii doesn't resize VC games to 4:3 if you have set the system to 16:9, you have to manually select the correct ratio from your screen, if you can.
