My god that takes me back... mainly back to the reasons why I never bothered with EDGE's forums. It's nice to read some of the responses though. That said I've only ever liked 2 gaming forums.

Me too. The TotalGamesNetwork one (the unofficial one now is stale as hell but worth checking sometimes for nostalgia sake) and this one.

RLLMUK is good but everyone tries to be too clever. This place has a nice balance of entertainment value and info, and is mostly mature so..yeah, screw Edge forums!

I don't think anything could save the EDGE forum. The place is stuffed to the gills with self-important snobs who like nothing more than to tear new members to shreds. Everything is a joke to them, and they don't care who gets hurt in their quest for the next laugh.

The only thing it's good for is the humorous quotes in the magazine itself.

This is pretty much the only gaming forum I post on (although NeoGAF is a good place to lurk for news)

I used to haunt the Swirlvision/Gamestaple forums in my older and more time wasteful days. Tiny community but a good laugh and level headed. Despite recent complaints by some I find this to be similar with a good news/info balance.
