Yeah, I was... really surprised at this. Screw the CryEngine; this seems much, much more impressive to me than Aion, visually, and most other MMOs out or in development come to that. Plus for a trailer using a lot of concept art those parts also felt hugely impressive. I don't know, I'm sure others will bash it as being the usual derivative fantasy nonsense but something about this trailer really clicked with me. The first game was pretty much the only MMO I ever seriously played and after giving up around Nightfall when my guild imploded (I was with the first Penny Arcade guilds) I would have said I was done with this sort of thing for good... but this has me really tempted.

Didn't manage 3 years, heh, but I put between three and four hundred hours in. PC's not a problem - or at least I'm assuming a quad core rig will still be able to handle it when it finally comes out. I'm impressed they're also staying with no monthly fees, which is the one thing that's saved me from Blizzard's cold, dead hands - it's not like I've got that much of a life at the moment, but I'd still prefer not to pay ten, fifteen pounds a month (or whatever) to be reminded of it.

I played a lot of this when it was first released but regretably moved back to WoW after a few months. Didn't help that the ntsc-uk guild we setup fell apart after a very short time! Looking back, I think the original was probably the best MMO out there for me, it had loads of depth but could be played in bite sized pieces.
I can't wait for this, definately going to get properly stuck in this time.

Yikes. Yeah, it's a bad game to play. It destroys your life. I avoided WOW for that very reason, but got into this - the No Monthly Fee being the main reason.
I'm itching to get back to it now. Got the first 3 titles looking at me on the shelf. I can get back to see my awesome Bone Dragon....
No, not doing it!!!!

sorry Chain but just look here or don't if it's easier
Miniatures, also referred to as "mini pets," are in-game vanity items that can be obtained through various sources. When activated, a small duplicate of the named creature will appear and follow you around. Miniatures were originally created as "birthday presents" to show appreciation for long-time players, but have since become available through many other means. Miniatures are activated by double-clicking on the item in your inventory, and can be de-activated the same way. Only one miniature c

I'm a babe in arms compared to you two, I think. Never went mad grinding for anything and I hardly even touched Nightfall. Never bought Eye of the North.
I still have the original box for the game proper plus the CEs for Factions and Nightfall, though. It's tempting me also. Gawwwwwd...
At the same time, seriously, I am also impressed they say they're keeping the focus on single-player too. That was always one thing I liked about GW (even if the early party AI was largely arse) and it would be a plus for the sequel.

LOL. I didn't actually play this for a huge length of time, it was actually a very compressed period of time. Some of the Guild I was with put in 60, 80 hour weeks, sometimes more. We all started at the same time, most dropped off after a few weeks, but about 3 or 4 of us really hit it.
I'd look at my total hours but I'm too ashamed
