Something a bit more recent. It manages to sit somewhere between the Hans Zimmer stuff from the recent movies and the Tim Burton stuff from the 90's ones. I rather like it.

The original Unreal Tournament still has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard, which isn't something you can normally say about an FPS.

I love oblivion's music, then Morrowind a very close second, amazing!

Gotta be Jet Set Radio. Probably the only original game music I would recommend to a friend that wasn't into gaming. A close 2nd would be FF7 but that's entirely personal nostaligia. Not sure how the music stands up for people who haven't played the game.
