    Remember Slow Motion function?

Yes, those annoying kids who would have the cheap crap third party joypads for the snes and megadrive with autofires and a slow-motion button that would consist of the effect of turning pause on and off constantly

What a pile of crap! I used to hate it when my mate would start with that crap on streetfighter turbo. Damn autofire switches would get knocked by accident in the heat of battle and screw you up also!

I have never bought a third party controller and the day I decide to it will be one that has no extra fancy crap and doesn't come in clear perspex to show me the circuits inside

    Arghh!

I was bought a 6button 3rd party controller, quite good, and nice and small (although im sure its too small for my hands now) but anyways

Yes it was annoying as ****, PAUSED...Play..PAUSED..etc Especially when someone had spat their dummy out, and did it to annoy you (It ranks below some twat pulling out your controller from the port however)

Actually thinking about it, i think i also have it on some sort of Quickshot NES arcade stick that i bought when i was a lil'un

What particulary annoyed me was the people who had the controllers with autofire. When playing a game like SF2 on the snes they would choose Blanka and then slap the punch autofire switch button on and blanka would instantly turn into his lightning frenzy and keep it like that for the whole match.

I had a mate who replicated this MANUALLY. On Sonic 2, he obviously thought the effect of pausing and unpausing continually would make the game easier, but it proved incredibly annoying to watch.

In the end I had to scream, "WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU DOING?"

Dodonpachi on PS1 had a "legitimate" slow mo mode. If you press one of the shoulder buttons (L1 I think) you could slow the game down at will.

This does make a lot of the game a lot easier if you use it, but if you didn't it certainly makes boss encounters rather more intense.
