I'd expect the other way around, MH is huge on psp and if its more of the same it $$$ for capcom, its a licence to print money, MH Vita would sell way more than MH Tri G, and the numbers speak for themselves , MHP 3rd 4 million sales, MH Tri G 1 million sales, capcom would we crazy not to get another MH on a playstation system.

You'd expect that but MH4 is already announced by Capcom as a 3DS exclusive so it seems pretty likely Vita would have to be something like a Portable 4. I fully expect the Vita version to be a big hit but despite the series past success on PSP I can imagine users will focus on the 3DS releases more for a few years yet as the Vita doesn't hold the same groundwork the PSP had to build upon in terms of userbase and cost. That Monster Hunter has made such a move towards 3DS suggests Capcom expects similar too.

Regarding the iPad stuff, if you're that into the games that are available via iPad then there's probably not much point in considering a Vita. It's a large cost outlay for a very different type of software line up, the games on 3DS/Vita are vastly more sophisticated than those on iPad but very much in line with what's on other dedicated handhelds and consoles so if you don't bother with the ones that are already out it's unlikely Vita will change that.

Sony comments on the Vita's track record in Japan. We should have a sweepstake on when the first price drop will be Considering Sony's profit troubles, the limited profit the handheld currently generates and how heavily the sales of the system are below the 3DS during it's like-for-like period it's surely only a matter of time once the publicity of the US/EU launches dies down?

All they had to do was put a great Internet browser in it and it could have been seen as a cheap tablet alternative the screen is nice enough for that

I finally had a go on a Vita, the graphics were nice, maybe better than I thought they'd be (in Uncharted at least), but I came away unimpressed some how. Reality fighter was rubbish, as expected, Wipeout begins and ends with the first two for me, so new ones seem pointless, Uncharted seemed alright, but the shoot outs got old quick, and the analogue sticks seem way too small. It just seems like another way to play to play 360/PS3 type games, when I've already got a 360 and a PS3 and take them for granted now.

I'm not sure I want one now, not at launch at least, what's the ratio of shootouts to platforming/exploring in Uncharted? That's the game I was interested in..

Having watched a few videos online...I think I need the new Katamari and Motorstorm RC game in my life!

So will be finally giving up on my 3DS and trading it in I think...hopefully Gamestation give me some decent cash for it!

Didn't know the right thread for this but Sony has released firmware 4.10 for PS3 which finally (finally!) updates the web browser after 4-5 years.

It's a small change in a fairly chunky file so I'm assuming it makes the PS3 browser more like the Vita one.
