PSVita (Successor to PSP, was PSP2 then NGP)

What are the good games that are assumed to be available on launch? Uncharted, Little Deviants, Modnation Racers, Reality Fighters, Wipeout 2048 and maybe LittleBigPlanet? I highly doubt Sony will spend so many valuable IP's all at once, but even if they were all launch games, it's not much there that's making me really want a Vita.

Pretty much, though I'm not expecting Modnation or LBP to be Day 1 releases and Reality Fighters looks awful. At the moment I'm thinking Uncharted, Little Deviants and Wipeout 2048 with some other typical 3rd party fare like Pro Evo 2012 etc.

Wipeout 2048 and Uncharted are pretty great launch titles, they're easily among Sony's best first party franchises.

Ultimately, what Sony will want is a Modern Warfare title released before xmas. That would knock it out of the park in the West.

Hopefully they will be. Wipeout looks fairly solid, Uncharted is visually nice but the vids show very basic level design and it's still slightly unnerving it's an external project

Does PSVita have a camera on it? Kind of makes Wii U almost redundant if it does.

The PSV has a camera so it could loosely mirror a lot of the Wii U's features, though as came up earlier in this thread, it'll hardley ever be used due to a number of factors.

I want one of these, but I think it would probably be best to wait a few months until more games are released on it. I might get a 3ds in the meantime as thats getting a price cut, and it will probably have better games. I would think by the end of next summer the psvita will have more stuff worth buying for it.

I think a 5 inch screen is too small to reasonably read comics on anyway, without a lot of inconvenient scrolling. 7 inch maybe. 10 ftw.

I don't agree with this...going OT here but the comic industry in this regard very much resembles the music industry of a few years ago. With the growing popularity of tablets (and the fact that they're pretty much ideal for reading comics on) there's got to be a HUGE market for digital comics, but there's simply no easy, reasonably priced way of acquiring them. Just like before downloadable music covered the majority of artists and labels and made available reasonably priced DRM-free music from popular sources, illegal downloading of comics is dominating because there's a quite a few different 'official' comics apps all with limited selections and high prices.

I think Sony pulled the Comic Store for the PSP because it was simply a bad idea considering the hardware. Reading comics on a 4 inch (or less on the Go) screen with a 480x272 resolution? It hardly seems worth it.
